What browser are you using?
Also, next time it happens can you copy and paste the url of the profile (or the profile User's name) into this thread? And take a screenshot too if you can? Sorry, hope I am not asking too much.
We are using a common Javascript plug-in called Lightbox to display the full-size Personal Ad pictures, and usually something like that is bullet-proof (meant to work on virtually all browser and situations). But it could be something weird going on.
