Welcome to the new site!!

Many bugs fixed from the old site, but new ones introduced I am sure. If you find something that doesn't seem right, please post it in the new Site Feedback sub forum here (http://www.bisexual.com/forum/forumdisplay.php?6-Site-Feedback). We'll try to fix it as quickly as we can.

Maybe some of us that have been on here for the last few weeks can help with some of the issues that come up. Glad to see it finally open, up and running. It was really quiet in here with only a handful of people. Thanks Drew.

Thanks, Drew for the changes!!

Lots of positive comments on the chat and also the chronic bitchers who are never satisfied. Getting people aimed in the right direction seems to help. FAQ's are a last resort for most.

The new site looks fantastic!!! I have to get a little reorientated with the new look... Looks like a LOT of new functions to learn... Should be fun. One thing though that I have to give you MAJOR props on Drew, the profile photos look a WHOLE lot clearer and the picture viewer pop-up is much better. The old one would make it a pain to actually get back to where I was before browsing the photos. Nice touch!!!

WOW What is this??? Kinda took me by surprise  I will have to get used to this, but that's OK because this won't take long, I'm sure. One thing I noticed is that I have to move the page from side to side because the pages are bigger than the screen?!?!?! What kinda deal is that? Still, this is really nice Drew. Ya done a good job, as you usually do. I would really like to thank you for it, and for all the work that you have put into this web-site, both past present and future.

I just gotta give Drew a real big "ATTA BOY" for all his effort.

One thing in common with the old site is, to me, "It's still an outta site website" that's for sure

1) I'm finding this site hard work
Everything is so white, info is bunched up and largely undifferentiated

My plight id probalby down to failing eyesight from old age and excessive masturbation. In the natural world, genitals are pigmented and protrude for attraction. Mmm! gentials. Oh damn! another orgasm and my eysight dims further.

2) Trying to find people on the "Search Personal Ads": It was found impossible to search for "Anyone" in Canada; instead, one had to choose a 'State' from a list. Triggering this list is unreliable. Whne results were given these seemed a random listing rather than e.g. alphabetically arranged. Is a 'sort' planned at any time OR a 2nd pass filter for e.g. username, planned?

3) Any particular reason for join date and number of posts being so prominently displayed?

4) logged in list one assumes is time based - one has to search for oneself to make sure that one is logged. One prefers to head the list on one's own computer.

Hi Drew
I am wondering if there is a problem with the PM's?

I was writing a PM and took more than a minute to create it. When I went to send the PM. I found that I was dumped off the site instead of the PM being sent? Is it timing out if no button pushing for a couple of minutes by mistake? I know one other person has had problems with sending PM's.

It is also a bit boring that so many threads are being started about the glitches. The thread topics are being pushed off the front page with all the glitches thread instead of just one or two? That isn't your fault it is our fault as members.

Thanks for all your efforts though.

:cowboy:Thanks for the new site at a time that others are closing ( Remember MANTURF ) or going to a subscription service. Some of us either have limited funds or don't want wife asking " whats this " when the credit card statement comes. Again, as far as I am concerned, I appreciate this site. Hope the regulars are all back soon.

Apparently 15 minutes, but others seem to have reported having to log in more often than that including from page to page. I think some folks have security/privacy settings that are blocking our session cookies and the fix is to adjust those settings. See post here (http://www.bisexual.com/forum/showthread.php?12498-Refresh&p=221970&viewfull=1#post221970).

I really do like the new "fresher" crisper, more up to date look of the site!!

I did have a bit of a problem for a few days that each time I came back---I had to re-enter my ID and password to log in--but that is no longer the case so I guess that issue is rectified--maybe that is part of what Drew was talking about in his post above.

OK, twice, now, I've written replies to messages, but when I clicked REPLY, I found out I had to re-sign in. When I did, I lost all of my reply! I think that is your security settings (on your browser or virus protection program). It sounds like our session cookie is not getting put on your computer. Selecting Remember Me when you log in may help. But I would check your cookies/security/privacy settings.

Thanks

Thanks The Forums (http://www.bisexual.com/forum/forum.php) won't have regional categories, but the Personal Ads (http://www.bisexual.com/forum/searchads.php) do. And you can start a Group (http://www.bisexual.com/forum/group.php) for your local area with its own discussion section, and even its own blog.

Drew,

Thanks for all your work!

I seem to recall that each forum post used to show the gender of the poster. I don't see that now.
I find it helpful to have that info, as it is often unclear from the posts, and is often relevant.

CTRL + & - does NOT change the screen resolution. It simply changes the size of the image on the active window. + makes the image & font larger for those hard of sight and - makes everything smaller.

To change resolution on an IBM compatible system right click on the desk top and go to properties. Under settings you will see your resolution settings. Older laptops and desk tops may not be able to be adjusted.

Apple users should refer to buying an IBM compatible.

I'll think about that. But it is there now, in a way... click on Notifications at the top of the page. It isn't quite 1 click, it is 2. Not sure if we have room for a 1 click button.

You need to put a link to the forum on the bottom of the page too Drew. I am sure there is an admin function for this. WHen you reply to something, you must scroll all the way back up to get to the MAIN FORUM link and get out of the thread.

For long pages, that's a pain.

welickit
Feb 11, 2012, 8:12 PM
Right click your back button and select Main Forum from the drop down menu. Or simply click the back button until you get back to the main forum if your browser is so old you don't have a drop down menu with a right click.

Hi. I am having problems using the search feature. When I press the button for the personal adds search it doesn't bring up results or ask me what i am looking for like the old version did. Is it just me? It sounds like this problem: http://www.bisexual.com/forum/showthread.php?12482-Search-Personal-Ads which is fixed by adjusting the settings of any ad blocking programs/add-ons you have (grant an exemption for bisexual.com or just that page). Basically what is going on is the Search Personal Ads page uses the words "ads" extensively and that seems to be triggering ad blockers. See that thread for the details.
